“To God be the Glory for the things He has done!"
Keith is a native of Mendenhall, Mississippi. He was born the 7th child of the late Rev. M.C. and Missionary Beatrice Coleman. Under their passionate spiritual training and Godly examples, he accepted Christ at the age of 11. Upon graduation from college, he married his wife of 41 years, Tracy McCaskill Coleman, where they also began fulfillment of his service obligation into the United States Army in 1979. He and Tracy served their country until his retirement as a US Army Finance Officer, following a short detail as an Air Defense Artillery Officer.
He recognized his calling to the ministry during his time in the military. God’s providential hand led him to Antioch Baptist Church, where Keith’s and Tracy’s prayers for knowledge of the Word of God, Spiritual Growth, and a more intimate relationship with God were answered. God has led the Colemans to complete many courses of study of the Word at Antioch, culminating in their Certification in Biblical Studies at the Antioch Bible Institute (a branch of Liberty University Seminary) in preparation for his ministry. He later completed Divinity studies at Capital Bible Seminary receiving a Master’s Degree of Biblical Studies. This combined with the areas of service that God has placed before him in Outreach Ministry, Christian Education, Worship Leading, and various types of Church Operations support have blessed both he and Tracy to grow tremendously in the Lord during the more than 20 years of service there.
Keith officially began his ministry as pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church on August 3, 2015. His favorite scripture is Philippians 1:6, “…..being confident in this, that He who has began His great work in us will carry it out to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” For Keith knows that it takes a surrendered heart and mind to allow God to use him. “To God be the Glory for the things He has done!
